1. Productivity Solutions Grant (PSG)

What is Productivity Solutions Grant (PSG)?

The Productivity Solutions Grant (PSG) aims to provide support to companies that want to enhance their productivity by the adoption of IT solutions. The government agencies have simplified the application process. They have pre-scoped & pre-approved the solutions that cover sector-specific solutions including the retail, food, logistics, precision engineering, construction and landscaping industries.

With the latest 80% funding support, PSG serves as an avenue for companies to make long-term technology investments.

Productivity Solutions Grant (PSG)

Objective

The PSG supports companies looking to adopt specific productivity solutions or equipment.

Funding support

The maximum funding support level was raised from 70% to 80% from 1 April 2020 to 31 March 2022.

Access the list of supportable solutions eligible for your sector and identify relevant solutions that best suit your business needs.

2. Enterprise Development Grant (EDG)

The Enterprise Development Grant (EDG) helps Singapore companies grow and transform. This grant supports projects that help you upgrade your business, innovate or venture overseas, under three pillars:

1. Core Capabilities
Projects under Core Capabilities help businesses prepare for growth and transformation by strengthening their business foundations. These should go beyond basic functions such as sales and accounting.

2. Innovation and Productivity
Projects under Innovation and Productivity support companies that explore new areas of growth, or look for ways to enhance efficiency, or optimise resource usage to improve their sustainability performance. These could include reviewing and redesigning workflow and processes. Companies could also tap into automation and technologies to make routine tasks more efficient and sustainable.

3. Market Access
Projects under Market Access support Singapore companies that are willing and ready to venture overseas. You may tap into the EDG to help defray some of the costs of expanding into overseas markets.

To support the growth and transformation needs of companies.

Funding support

Successful EDG grant applications that can achieve up to 80%.

The grant funds qualifying project costs namely third party consultancy fees, software and equipment, and internal manpower cost.

How to apply?

Submit individual project proposals with details on the business plans and project outcomes for evaluation.

You do not required to engage the pre-approved consultant for the application.

You only need certified EDG Consultants if you are applying for the EDG Grant for Consultancy related costs.

3. Workforce Singapore (WSG) Career Conversion (CCP)

Career Conversion Programmes (CCPs) are for mid-career individuals to undergo skills conversion and move into new occupations/sectors that have good prospects, and opportunities for progression. WSG offers about 100 CCPs to support mid-career individuals in career conversion. Through CCPs’  training, companies will have a wider pool of candidates for hiring.

There are 3 modes of CCPs:
1. Place-and-Train: Mid-career individual is hired by participating company before undergoing training to take on a new job role.
2. Attach-and-Train: Mid-career individual is provided with training and work attachments, prior to job placement.
3. Redeployment / Job Redesign (JR) Reskilling: Targeted at companies that are undergoing business transformation, and where their existing workers are at risk of redundancy due to the transformation. These workers will be provided with training to take on new job roles/redesigned job roles within the same company.

Eligibility Criteria

Interested mid-career individuals and companies will need to meet the following criteria:

Mid-career individuals:

  • Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident
  • Minimum 21 years old
  • Graduated or completed National Service, for at least 2 years
  • New job role trained for under the CCP should be substantially different from previous job role(s), hence requiring reskilling for career conversion
  • Able to commit to full-time employment or attachment in a participating company

4. Jobs Growth Incentive (JGI)

End of eligibility period for new hires for Phase 3. Eligibility period is October 2021 till March 2022.

The Jobs Growth Incentive (JGI) supports employers to expand local hiring1 from September 2020 to March 2022 (inclusive), so as to create good and long-term jobs for locals.

The JGI provides up to 12 months of salary support for each non-mature (aged below 40) local hire and 18 months of salary support for each mature hire (aged 40 and above, person with disability or ex-offender hired by employers that managed to increase their local workforce within the qualifying window for:

Phase 1 of the scheme from September 2020 to February 2021

Phase 2 from March 2021 to September 2021

For Phase 3 from October 2021 to March 2022, the salary support for each non-mature local hire will be for up to 6 months for non-mature local hires and 12 months for mature, PwD or ex-offender local hires.

1 Local workforce: Singapore Citizens and Singapore Permanent Residents.

New qualifying window to support hire locals



Up to 15% of the first $5,000 gross monthly wages for 6 months (aged below 40)

Up to 50% of the first $6,000 gross monthly wages for 12 months (aged 40 and above)

How to apply for the JGI?

Employers do NOT need to apply for the JGI. IRAS will notify eligible employers by post of the amount of JGI payout payable to them. You can also log in to myTax Portal to view the electronic copy of the letter.
